Dr Michael Styllas is a geologist and a mountaineer from Greece based at the Institute de Physique de Globe de Paris in France, working on the geochemistry and isotopic composition of water and sediments. In 2023 and 2024 he led expeditions to the Dragonlakes to collect lake sediment cores forthe reconstruction of paleoclimate and past aeolian dynamics.
